Hi! My name is Daria Voronina, I was born and raised in Russia. I have a bachelor’s degree in International Environmental and Economic Studies (Moscow State University of International Relations) and am currently obtaining a master’s degree in Environmental Science (University of Geneva). At the same time, I work for a consulting company and develop ESG projects for a steel producing companies. I also have a project related to involvement of women in the IT sector and STEM.

I am taking the Partnering For Good Course as part of my internship at Impact17. I am excited to improve my knowledge in partnerships to gain new skills to strengthen and improve partnerships relates to SDG 7 (clean energy) and SDG 13 (climate change).

When talking about real examples of organizations that are collaborating to improve the world and achive SDG17, the World Health Organization (WHO) comes to my mind first. I believe that in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was WHO who showed real actions in the field of improving the situation, helping those in need and developing comprehensive measures to overcome the crisis. WHO, the UN Foundation and partners have created a first-of-its-kind Solidarity Fund to enable corporations and individuals to contribute directly to WHO’s fight against COVID-19, with enormous benefits and real impact, and helping hundreds of thousands of people in difficult situations.
