Hello everyone, I am Nishchhal Kharal (Nish), a youth peace activist based in Kathmandu, Nepal.

As an activist, it is very important for me to build a partnership among diversified actors like marginalized people, organizations, donor agencies, etc. All these communities have different approaches for understanding partnerships. Through this course, I want to navigate through the concept of partnership and what it means in different contexts and with different actors. I also seek to learn the ways through which I can build better partnerships in the future.

For the past eight years, I have been working in a collaborative approach. The ‘Earthquake rehabilitation project’ was one of the most successful project where I was able to bring all the actors involved, including community, local government, local organizations, and the funding agencies in the same line to conduct reconstruction and rehabilitation work for a year. This partnership made clear on the role and minimized the effort to all the actors, as their work was based on their expertise.
